WineWeaver supports Marie Curie Charity Event
WineWeaver believes that quality and care in wine consumption is part of the pleasure. With these health related thoughts in mind, the WineWeaver team are delighted to announce their support for a Marie Curie charity event. The daughter of Ray Wills has arranged this event in Birmingham in his memory.
The event will take place at 7pm on Saturday 28th September at the Tyseley Working Men’s Club. The aim is to have fun whilst raising funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care. All proceeds will be donated by the family to the Marie Curie charity.
The charity was officially recognised as a charity in 1952. Marie Curie Cancer Care is dedicated to improving care and support for cancer patients and their families. The charity is also constantly researching ways to combat the disease and campaigning for the rights of those who suffer from it. Marie Curie currently has 2,000 nurses and operates 9 hospices in the UK.
The charity fundraisers have chosen Hollywood Fancy Dress as the theme. So you might expect to see many recognisable impostors on the red carpet. There is an award for Best costume, so spare no effort!
You can enjoy the buffet, disco, raffle, and live performance from Jugganaut.
Children are very welcome especially as they can look forward to being entertained by both Mickey and Minnie Mouse, who are set to make an appearance.
Our creative team are very excited at the idea of everyone enjoying a fancy dress event and hope that you can make the event to have some fun and at the same time contribute to a very worthwhile cause.
Tickets for adults cost £4, £2 for children, and a ticket for a family of four is £10.
Opportunity to donate
If you can’t attend the event itself, perhaps you would like to donate through the use of our WineWeaver discount code MCURIE5 which will give you a 5% discount and add a further 10% to Marie Curie through a donation by the WineWeaver team. Simply detail the discount code at checkout.
Have fun everyone and we hope to publish some photos of the Fancy Dress costumes soon.
